SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

IJPPL welcomes submissions related to the study of peace, conflict, and public leadership, on topics such as the following:

● The role played by Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in fashioning public opinion and rallying support for diverse causes, the political economy of NGOs, and their role in dealing with both state and non-state actors.

● The significance of religion in global affairs, and especially the role played by religion, faith-based institutions and religious leaders in the mediation of conflict.

● The role of women in public leadership, peacebuilding, and diplomacy.

● Experiential elements and capacity-building of peace professionals.

● Issues related to the philosophy of peace, such as the preconditions for lasting peace, the precise description and possible challenges to the concept of positive peace, and historical perspectives on peace.

● The balance between human agency and social structure in the establishment of peace through conflict transformation.

 The Journal will use the double-blind peer-review process. Authors can expect to receive a response within 30 days.

Submissions

We welcome full-length academic articles. The expected length is 5,000 to 10,000 words.

Authors may also submit commentary pieces and letters to the editor, but we do not guarantee that these will be considered for publication. Unsolicited book reviews will not be accepted.

• Author details should be submitted separately. The article text should be anonymous. We recommend removing any references that might reveal the authorship.
• The article should include an Abstract (250 words maximum) and a short list of keywords.

Citation Style

The Journal uses the Chicago Manual of Style (18th Edition) endnote style.

Format

Articles should be submitted as Word documents. Authors are free to use any common font type and size, margins, etc. as long as their use remains consistent throughout. These will be adjusted by the editor for submissions that are accepted. Nevertheless, for review purposes, the presentation should be clean and easily readable. Submissions that do not conform to this request will not be considered.
